Job description

FCB Health is currently seeking a Copywriter — creative, dynamic & science-minded.This position will support a heart failure brand at our flagship office.

Summary

Responsible for the generation of copy for assigned brand. Ensure adherence to client’s marketing strategies and objectives, meeting deadlines on client projects. Assist senior copywriter on larger more complex projects. Work with art director to generate concepts.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

Takes direction from copy supervisor
Writes copy for assigned projects that is on strategy for the product, in language that is original, compelling, distinctive, and synergistic with art/graphic
Is deadline oriented and well organized
Collaborates with team in a positive and productive manner
Coordinates with copy supervisor, account services and art director in identifying and obtaining information needed to carry out assignments
Performs research (general lit searches as well as specific topic research) via Internet and other resources (libraries, newspapers, associations, etc.)
Makes sound, timely decisions about need to change work in progress and reports them to copy supervisor
Performs basic proofing/editing on all copy, paying strict attention to details of copy/art agreement
Understands and implements agency/client review systems; makes “transfers” of client comments (revisions) to agency copies, identifies any problems or inconsistencies, solves problem by reviewing with supervisor/account services
Participates with creative team and product team to develop multiple concepts/campaigns for assigned products/projects
Defends strengths of concepts while remaining open to alternatives and further explorations
Analyzes and interprets data from clinical studies, presentations, and published papers, summarizes key points, and turns them into promotional messages that tie to product key selling messages
Logically organizes material from a range of different sources to make a compelling narrative/story flow
Contributes to generation of effective promotional materials to be used by the field force in personal selling
Has full mastery over writing craft with a clear persuasive voice and uses skills to fulfill a variety of tactics
Develops understanding of audience needs (e.g., physicians, patients, sales reps) and targets copy and changes voices to appropriately meet them
Develop medical knowledge in therapeutic areas of primary accounts
Contributes innovative ideas appropriate to the client’s marketing strategy
Solves problems within areas of direct responsibility
Perform other related duties as required and assigned by supervisor
