Why PixelGrade is Experimenting with a $225 WordPress Theme on Themeforest

Wordpress themes are one of the most popular template sites used by designers, developers and companies who wants to utilize pre-made templates and plugins to get their website started without starting everything from scratch. These templates go anywhere from $30 to $65 depending on the themes available. PixelGrade took this to another level and here's what's happening.   Several theme authors have been experimenting with new pricing on ThemeForest. But PixelGrade took it to the next level by raising the price of its Pile theme from $59 to $225. That’s a bold move, but I expect nothing less from them. Top 10 resume mistakes to avoid

Top 10 resume mistakes to avoid Aren't sure what to put on your resume? Make sure you don't include any of these common errors. Peter Vogt, Monster Senior Contributing Writer It's deceptively easy to make mistakes on your resume and exceptionally difficult to repair the damage once an employer gets it. So prevention is critical, whether you're writing your first resume or revising it for a mid-career job search. Check out how to write the perfect resume by avoiding these common pitfalls. 1. Typos and grammatical errors Your resume needs to be grammatically perfect. If it isn't, employers will read between the lines and draw not-so-flattering conclusions about you, like: "This person can't write," or "This person obviously doesn't care." 2. Lack of specifics Employers need to understand what you've done and accomplished. For example: A. Worked with employees in a restaurant setting. B. Recruited, hired, trained and supervised more than 20 employees in a restaurant with $2 million in annual sales. Both of these…

Psychosocial risks and stress at work

Psychosocial risks and work-related stress are among the most challenging issues in occupational safety and health. They impact significantly on the health of individuals, organisations and national economies. Around half of European workers consider stress to be common in their workplace, and it contributes to around half of all lost working days. Like many other issues surrounding mental health, stress is often misunderstood or stigmatised. However, when viewed as an organisational issue rather than an individual fault, psychosocial risks and stress can be just as manageable as any other workplace safety and health risk. What are psychosocial risks and stress? Psychosocial risks arise from poor work design, organisation and management, as well as a poor social context of work, and they may result in negative psychological, physical and social outcomes such as work-related stress, burnout or depression. Some examples of working conditions leading to psychosocial risks are: Excessive workloads Conflicting demands and lack of role clarity Lack of involvement in making decisions that affect the…
